Bahraini top exports to the world in 2017

In 2017, Bahrain total exports to the world reached 15 billion US $.Obviously, petroleum oils are the predominant exports for Bahrain; it forms nearly 60% of its exports to the whole world .Petroleum oils are mainly exported to USA, UAE and Japan. The second most important exports are the Aluminum, due to the fact that Bahrain has a strong aluminum Industry, the exports of aluminum and its parts accounts for 14% of Bahrain total exports and it is mainly directed to USA and Arab countries. Bahrain also is famous for its iron and steel industry starting from the ores to the articles iron and steel.

Arab countries have a particular importance for Bahraini exports; they import around 45% of Bahraini total exports. UAE comes on the top of the list, followed by Saudi Arabia and Oman.

USA and Japan have also significant shares reaching almost 15%. It is worth mentioning that trade with EU countries is negligible.

UAE and Saudi Arabia are the main Arab importers from Bahrain; they alone import around 70% of Bahraini exports to the region. Other important Arab countries are: Oman, Qatar and Kuwait respectively.
