Tunisian top imports from the world in 2022:



In 2022, Tunisia's total imports were worth 22 billion US dollars. Machines and electronic equipment make up most Tunisia’s imports, which make up about 20% of the country's total imports. The top three import origins, as shown in the table, are EU nations: France, Italy, and Germany. On the other hand, Tunisia imports plastic substances from Saudi Arabia and mineral fuels from Algeria.

Due to the Association Partnership Agreement signed by Tunisia and the EU and the historical relations, EU nations account for the majority of Tunisia's imports from the rest of the world, providing around 50% of total imports. The three biggest trading partners of Europe with Tunisia are Germany, France, and Italy. The second-ranked country after the EU is China, which accounts for 11% of all imports to Tunisia. Approximately 10% of Tunisian imports sourced from Arab countries.

Among Arab countries, Algeria and Saudi Arabia are the top exporters to Tunisia. They account for over 60% of Tunisia's Arabic imports. Egypt is third with a large proportion of 12.4%; the three countries account for over 75% of Tunisian imports from the region. Mineral fuels are the region's principal imported products.
