TRADE PROMOTION

Studies on trade flow analysis related to the
Arab region have identified a number
of key sectors with a potential
for growth in trade between
Arab countries. The sectors
include food industries,
agricultural products, metal
industries, chemical &
petrochemical industries,
pharmaceutical industries,
plastic industries and
building & construction
materials. ATFP focuses its
efforts in the field of trade
promotion on such sectors.
ATFP organizes buyers & sellers
meetings between parties involved
in Arab trade based on a specific
methodology in selecting the targeted sector and
the location of the meeting. In collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the
Export Promotion Centers, and the related business associations in Arab countries, the relevant
participating parties in the planned meetings are identified and invited to the event.

The selection of the participating companies is followed by a match-making process whereby
a schedule of bilateral meetings is prepared for each participant for the duration of the event.
Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Export Promotion Centers, ATFP’s National Agencies,
transportation & insurance firms, as well as relevant regional and international organizations are
also represented in the meeting. The aim is to provide an environment conducive to promoting
trade exchanges and ATFP, would also consider any resulting trade transaction that is eligible
for financing.
